WAR IN E. HEMINGWAY’S NOVEL “ISLANDS IN THE STREAM”: AUTOBIOGRAPHISM AND ARTISTIC FICTION

Abstract
The article represents a brief review of analytical literature on E. Hemingway’s posthumously published novel “Islands in the Stream” and shows how deep this problem has previously been studied. An attempt to analyze the way E. Hemingway reveals a person’s behavior on war is made. A destructive impact of war on artist is emphasized. The author pays special attention to the writer’s personal experience and tries to define the degree of autobiographical and artistic constituents of the novel.
