EXPLANATION OF THE SPECIAL SOCIAL STATUS OF THE CLERGY IN THE SACRED TEXTS OF SAINT-SIMONIANS

Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of the religious and philosophical texts of Saint-Simon and Enfantin, the founders and leaders of the “new Christianity”. The author of the article detects the strategies of the rational argumentation of Saint-Simon and Enfantin (this rational argumentation is aimed at substantiation of a theocratic model of social organization and higher social status of the clergy) and evaluates logical consistency of some specific arguments. The author of the article arrives at the conclusion, that the strategies of argumentation have a subjective-idealistic nature, and that Saint-Simon and Enfantin often use substitution of concepts, manipulate historical facts, and establish fake logical links to promote their utopian project.
