DECREASING STRESSES IN THE COURSE OF ARC WELDING

Abstract
In this work the research of arc welding of butt weld of the sheet specimens by numerical simulation has been accomplished. It has been solved the partial differential equation of heat conduction with the initials and boundary conditions to estimate the temperature field. The stresses value in the course of arc welding in the different intensity of cooling has been calculated by the use of isotropic reinforcement model. The influence of process variables on the stresses of metal in the course of butt welding has been estimated. As a result it has been calculated the stresses of the sheet specimens as the function of width of cooling zone in the course of arc welding. These functions may be used to calculate the process variables of arc welding of the sheet pieces with the force-cooling to minimize the deformation.
