COMPARISON DESIGN METHODS FOR PILE FOUNDATIONS ON NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN STANDARDS

Abstract

We consider the results of the comparison for determining the estimated carrying capacity of driven and bored concrete piles using the results of static load and determination nominal foundation borders on national and European design standard. The principles of construction of the equivalent raft foundation are considered. The similarities and differences in methods of design of the bearing capacity driven and bored piles for European and national standards are identified and summarized. The difference values obtained estimated carrying capacity of piles as a percentage of. The similarities and differences in the determination of the nominal foundation (national standards) and equivalent raft foundation (European standards) are identified and summarized. Three methods for the design of pile foundations at European standards, represents the areas of their use and limitations of these methods are presented.
