THE CHOICE OF LINES OF DETENTION DURING EMERGENCY SPILLS ON THE TRUNK OIL PRODUCT PIPELINES

Abstract
The problem of occurrence of an accident is considered, when several tens of thousands of tons of petroleum products can be released, which along watercourses can spread over considerable distances, including the territories of neighboring states and waters of the Baltic and Black Seas. The main criteria for choosing locations for the installation of detention lines for localization of the emergency exit of petroleum products at the transitions of the main oil product pipelines through water barriers are given.
