Abstract
The development of a uniform methodology for the identification and description of uncertainties resis-tance models for reliability analysis of steel structures is presented. All models are created with the deliberate simplifications adopted for ease of use, and omissions due to lack of information, knowledge that makes system-atic deviations. At the same time probabilistic nature of the variables that influence the experimental value in-troduces random deviations. The model uncertainty is analysed. Factors affecting the uncertainty of the resis-tance model are shown. The conclusion about the need to consider model uncertainty and improve the resistance of the model are made.
