Abstract

Aerophotography scale and resolving capacity of the image in terms of quality of decoding and hence the quality of generated (updated) topographic maps (plans) as a whole are considered. An assessment of the choice of high-quality aerophotography scale for decoding according to the resolving capacity of images and size prevailing in the area of different shapes objects is analyzed. A formula for calculating aerophotography scale in which interpretation will be performed with both the probability of 0.75 and more is offered. However, the increasing of the probability of decoding facilities will lead to the fact that aerophotography have to perform on a large scale and, consequently, to an increase in office work, but it will reduce the amount of field work to refine laboratory decoding.
