Abstract
This work is devoted to the development of scientific foundations for multistage separation of fine particles in the field of centrifugal forces using the recirculation of the carrier flow. A new design of a centrifugal dust collector with a recirculation loop is considered and the parameters of its operation are investigated. A mathematical model is proposed that describes the movement of a gas flow in a cyclone and in a recirculation loop. The influence of the operating parameters of the cyclone on its efficiency and energy consumption is analyzed. The dependences of pressure losses, total flow rate and its components in all zones of the apparatus on the gas flow rate at the cyclone inlet are obtained. Based on the analysis of the results obtained, the influence of the operating and design parameters of the cyclone on its efficiency and energy consumption was evaluated.
