RESEARCH OF LIMIT STATES BY BEARING CAPACITY AND DEFORMATIONS OF SHORT CLAY BASES FINISHED (DRIVEN) PILES OF SMALL CROSS-SECTION SECTIONS AT THEIR PRESSING AND PULLING

Abstract
The results and analysis of experimental laboratory and field studies of the bearing capacity of clay bases of finished (driven) short reinforced concrete and metal tensometric piles of small cross section (100´100 mm - 200´200 mm) loaded with static pressing or pulling loads are presented. In the process of research, the field of rational application and understanding of their work in clay soils was clarified, taking into account the size of the cross section and the immersion depth of the experimental short. It is established that the deviations between the values of the bearing capacity obtained by the test results and analytical calculations by the methods of norms are 30-50% and therefore they require adjustment. The effectiveness of designs of short piles of small cross section for low-rise (up to 3 floors) buildings and structures developed at RUE "Institute BelNIIS" was confirmed. The research results are the basis for improving the designs and methods of their calculation, taking into account the soil conditions of the Belarusian region, which reduce the cost of labor costs for the manufacture of foundations of low-rise civil and industrial buildings and structures by 30%.
