ARCHITECTURAL AND COMPOSITION CONCEPT OF EMBANKMENTS IN BELARUS

Abstract
The issues connected with the organization of coastal zones in large cities of the Republic of Belarus are considered: in Minsk, Grodno, Vitebsk, etc. It is shown that it is water tourism which will influence significantly the execution of works on the improvement of the coastline, including the form of embankments, in the cities situated along waterways. At improvement of embankments one should aim at preservation of the individuality of their look, at diversity of elements and forms. It is necessary to use different materials and ways of execution of works, at the same time the created architectural and artistic image shoukd be expressive and fit into the surrounding landscape.
