THE STRENGTHENING OF THE BENDING REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES WITH THE HELP OF CFRP ARMATURE

Abstract

The strengthening of the bending reinforced concrete structures by attaching additional CFRParmature in the tension zone is an effective method, as confirmed by its wide use in many countries in Europe and North America. On the territory of the Republic of Belarus, this method has been recently applied and researched insufficiently. The paper presents the results and comparison of the experimental and theoretical studies of the reinforced concrete hollow core slabs, which were strengthened with the additional CFRP reinforcement in the tension zone.The development of the analysis methods for calculating the normal to the longitudinal axis cross-section strength, deflection and cracks width, which takes into account peculiarities of the concrete work with CFRP, including methods with additional strengthening the bonding area with additional elements.
