INFLUENCE OF TORSION ON REINFORCED CONCRETE HOLLOW-CORE SLABS

Abstract
We consider the problem of torsion of reinforced concrete hollow-core slabs. These constructions are widely used due to their large bearing capacity, large spans and quality. Today they are increasingly used in the construction of various buildings and structures. Torsion in reinforced concrete hollow-core slabs occurs mostly as a secondary effect of force action. The paper presents the results of experimental tests of such constructions subjected to bending and torsion. Features of cracking in these slabs are identified. Conclusions about the impact of the amount of torque on the character development of cracks in reinforced concrete hollow-core slabs in such a complex stress-strain state as bending and torsion are drawn.
