What are the requirements for submitted articles?
Articles submitted to the editorial board must comply in terms of volume, structure and formatting with the Instructions on the Procedure of Qualification Scientific Works (Dissertations) for the Degrees of Candidate and Doctor of Sciences, Abstracts and Publications based on Dissertation Subject.
Articles must also meet the technical formatting requirements.
How can I submit an article?
The electronic version of the article should be submitted through the online editorial office of the corresponding journal series. If online submission is not possible, the article may be sent to the email address vestnik@psu.by (indicating the journal series in the cover letter).
Printed copies of accompanying documents must be submitted in full to the executive secretary at the following address: Novopolotsk, 29 Blokhin Street, Room 134 or sent by mail to the following address: 211440, 29 Blokhin Street, Novopolotsk, Vitebsk region, Vestnik of PSU Editorial Office.
What accompanying documents must be submitted with the article?
- a printed copy of the article, carefully proofread and signed by the authors
- an electronic version of the article formatted according to technical requirements
- an expert opinion confirming the possibility of publishing materials in open access (your institution’s form or a provided template)
- information about the authors including their position and place of employment, academic degrees and titles, unique number (ID ORCID), contact phone numbers and email addresses
Is it necessary to submit a completed plagiarism check report with the documents?
No, it is not required.
After verifying the completeness of the accompanying documents and compliance with the technical requirements, the executive secretary forwards the electronic version of the article to the scientific library of Polotsk State University for checking it in the “Antiplagiarism” system.
How can I find out whether my article will be published?
The article with all accompanying documents and the plagiarism report is submitted for consideration and review to the editorial board, where the possibility of its publication is determined.
If the article is rejected, a notification will be sent to the email address provided in the information about the author.
Are any changes made to the article?
The editorial board reserves the right to make editorial corrections and abridgements that do not alter the main content of the article. If significant changes are made during the editorial process, the final version of the article will be coordinated with the author and published only after the author's final approval.
Are there any deadlines for article submission?
There is a submission schedule for articles. The schedule for accepting documents may vary depending on how full the issue portfolio is.

Can students publish articles in the journal?
Only graduates (master's and postgraduate students), as well as specialists in the field of science (university staff and representatives of both private and public organizations) have the right to publish.
Publications in co-authorship with students are not allowed either.
Can articles by foreign authors be published?
Yes, provided the above requirements are met.
Are there any privileges for final-year postgraduate students?
No.
Articles are considered in the order of submission and according to their compliance with the outlined requirements, as well as regulatory documents (HAC instructions, a positive review, and a positive report from the “Antiplagiarism” system check).
