Аннотация

Рассматриваются особенности осмысления проблемы личности и общества в романах Г. Уоука о Второй мировой войне. Проводится литературоведческий анализ проблемы ответственности в романе «Бунт на «Кайне»». На материале дилогии, состоящей из книг «Ветры войны» и «Война и память», раскрываются особенности эстетического осмысления Г. Уоуком причин возникновения нацизма в Германии, процесса подавления личности в тоталитарных обществах и процесса полной деформации личности узников в концентрационных лагерях. Подчеркивается, что война в дилогии показана испытанием на нравственность.
