Abstract
A brief analysis of some philosophical ideas and views on aesthetics of S.T. Coleridge is done. An attempt to evaluate the critical heritage of S.T. Coleridge is made. A brief overview of S.T. Coleridge’s trip to Germany is done. The circle of acquaintances and book preferences of S.T. Coleridge is studied. An attempt in determining the character and extent of the German influence on philosophical views and literary studies of the poet is done.
