THE MNEMONIC NARRATIVE ABOUT COVID-19 IN A POLITICAL INTERVIEW

Abstract
The article shows the results of the mnemonic narrative study as a means of verbalization of individual memory in political interviews (from 2020 to 2024) of the US President-elect Donald Trump. These interviews contain a mnemonic reflection of personal and collective experience of the time of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. This article describes personal, ideological and event-based types of mnemonic narratives, their functioning in the political discourse. The linguistic ((lexical, grammar, stylistic) tools employed in the COVID-19 pandemic narrativization process are high-lighted. The article also analyzes the linguistic patterns inherent in the event-based mnemonic narrative of the politician. The predominance of D. Trump's individual cognition over the traditionally accepted dominance of collective opinion in political discourse is observed.
