BELARUSIAN AND RUSSIAN TEXTS OF CULTURE IN THE URBAN SPACE OF THE CITY OF IVANAVA: RATIO, FEATURES OF REPRESENTATION

Abstract
The article examines the characteristics of representation of the Belarusian and Russian texts of culture in urban space of the Ivanovo city in which the Day of Belarusian Written Language is celebrated this year. The article identifies three categories of modern city urbanonyms motivated by the names of persons which are different in the two texts of culture in terms of quantity and quality. The article argues that the study of the relations of the Belarusian and Russian cultural texts in urbanonymic system of a separate city will identify specific typological features of its intra-city names, and their comparison with the data on other cities will help describing the modern system of names of intra-city objects of the country in general.
