Abstract

The article deals with the mechanism of functioning of the state Inspectorate for the protection of historical and cultural heritage in 1991-2001.the formation of the body was due to an attempt to rationalize the administrative and organizational structure of the public administration system in relation to the security business. On inspection implementation of the state policy in the field of accounting, protection, historical and cultural values was added. At the legislative level, the independence of the body and its subordination to the Council of Ministers were fixed. The inspection carried out the preparation of draft legislative acts, carried out international activities through the conclusion of agreements, scientific and methodological support, coordination of the activities of the Belarusian Republican scientific and methodological Council on historical and cultural heritage.
