Abstract

The article сovers the problem of structural types and models of idioms with word collocation structure that is inconsistent with their categoriсal meaning. The relevance of this topic is determined by absence of system research of adjectival idioms’ structure on the base of Belarussian dialect. The data for study were 225 idioms which were selected from phraseological and lexical dictionaries of Belarussian dialects. In introduction the method of modelling and its application in linguistics is considered, the concept of linguistic model is clarified. The division of mentioned idioms into three structural groups according to morphological expression: with a noun, verb and numeral as the main component was made in the main part of the article. Each of these structural groups unites a number of structural types and models of different productivity. Structural schemes discovered are accompanied by illustrative examples. Precise quantitative calculations of recorded idioms were made. In the end of the article the conclusion about productivity of identified structural types and models was made.
