VARIATION OF PROVERBS AND ANTI-PROVERBS

Abstract
The article considers differences between occasional and customary modifications of proverbs in talking. It specifies, what modifications result in the formation of synonymous and non-synonymous paremias. Specific features of an anti-proverb as a unit of the occasional formation are identified. The article also examines the influence and manifestation of variation phenomena and penetrability of proverbs in the formation of anti-proverbs. The author states that when defining the basic means and methods of anti-proverbs formation, it is necessary to differentiate between the means of occasional modificationes in proverbs essential for the formation of anti-proverbs, and the means of customary modifications of proverbs in use which can come up simultaneously with occasional ones but which do not result in either modification of the semantics of the initial proverbs or in the formation of anti-proverbs. The article presents anti-proverbs in variation of their components, which is one of the factors manifesting semantic relations in paremiology. The basic types of anti-proverbs variants are described.
