Abstract
The category of determination is qualified as one of the most difficult in French grammar: it reacts sensitively to the contextual sphere, the speech situation, intentional modifications of the utterance, and so on. An adequate understanding of the article ultimately requires a comprehensive description that integrates not only the analysis of the linguistic attitude, the correlation of the name with the real world and the discursive environment, but also the analysis of extralinguistic factors, in particular, the speaker's attitudes related to his knowledge, value orientations, emotions, capable of leading to syntactic juxtaposition within the framework of the structure N1 de N2 of concepts incompatible in reality due to a conscious change in the reference of the name by the speaker.
