THE ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH AT THE GROUND BURIALS OF XVI–XVIII CENTURIES OF CEMETERY NEAR KLESCHINO VILLAGE OF BESHENKOVICHY DISTRICT IN 2013

Abstract

The article describes the archaeological excavations at the burial ground near the village Kleshchyno Beshenkovichi District of Vitebsk region in 2013. The aim of excavations was to study the excavation of burial sites of the XIV-XVIII centuries. The Pit area is 21 m2. 5 funerary complexes were investigated. One funeral complex was marked with a stone grave lining along the perimeter of a grave with large stones in the head / legs of a burial, three funeral complexes were marked by boulders in the head / legs of a burial, and one burial did not have any stone structures. Skeletons are oriented to the west with minor deviations to the north and south. Discovered inventory (ceramic fragments) makes it possible to date the burial as XVI–XVIII centuries.
