THE CRANIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTIC OF THE MATERIALS OF THE BURIAL GROUNDS FROM THE TERRITORY OF LOWER CASTLE IN POLOTSK

Abstract
The results of the craniological research of the materials of the burial grounds from the territory of Low-er Castle in Polotsk received during the archeological excavations of 2014 are presented. The age and the sex structure of the buried are defined. The belonging of the burials to the two chronologically different cemeteries dated from the 13-14th and 17th centuries is established. The craniological characteristic of the series of male skulls is submitted. The comparative analysis of the craniological features among different chronological groups of the population of Polotsk and the Polotsk region is carried out.
