FEATURES OF CREATION OF NATIONAL VERSIONS OF THE AGROVOC MULTILINGUAL THESAURUS ON AGRICULTURE AND FOOD IN SLAVIC LANGUAGES

Abstract
The article discusses the features of creation of national versions of the AGROVOC Multilingual Thesaurus on agriculture and food in the following Slavic languages: Belarusian, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Ukrainian, Czech. A varying number of specialists from 1 to 20 people take part in the creation and editing of versions of AGROVOC in the Slavic languages. An interdisciplinary approach was used for the translation of AGROVOC into Russian and Belarusian. This approach is based on the collaboration of specialists in various fields of knowledge. A distinctive feature of the creation of these two versions was revealed. It was discovered that the translation of AGROVOC into different Slavic languages is carried out by different categories of specialists: AGROVOC is translated into Russian, Ukrainian and Slovak by specialists in the field of agriculture, into the Serbian language by a librarian, into the Belarusian language by linguists. An analysis of the features of the Slavic versions, determined by the recommendations for AGROVOC editors, was carried out. The problems of a linguistic nature faced by specialists translating English terms of AGROVOC into Russian and Belarusian were considered.
