Abstract
The article explores the main areas of social security for people with disabilities of the Great Patriotic War in the 2nd half of the 1950s. Based on the analysis of archival documents devoted to this topic, the author identifies the most priority areas of work to provide disabled front-line soldiers during the study period, identifies new types of assistance that appeared at that time, and notes the difficulties and shortcomings in the process of providing social assistance to invalids of the Great Patriotic War.
