Abstract

The article discusses the US immigration policy on countering illegal immigration in the late XIX – first half of the XX centuries. The author identifies the causes of the phenomenon of illegal immigration in the United States and traces the evolution of the problem. Special attention is paid to the study of the forms and means of dealing against illegal immigration.
