Abstract
In the article on the press materials studied problems of the agrarian question, which has become particularly relevant in 1905–1907. North-Western Territory assessed affluent agricultural region. We consider the criticism of the press to the government and the absence of reforms. The relationship of agricultural crisis with social and political problems involving peasants in the revolution of 1905–1907, activation migration Belarusian peasants in Siberia and America. Revealed the superiority of the discussion about the “Polish” estates in North-Western Territory. Common position of the landowners described as moderate choice, legal way for reforms in the agricultural sector. Lit work surveying commissions, their interaction with the Farmers Bank. Disclosed the project boundary of the Polish press to reform the agricultural sector to reorient agriculture horticulture, gardening, beekeeping, dairy, cheese factory building, the development of vegetable dehydration industry. By presenting the portrait of a wealthy farmer. On the basis of the materials studied, the author believes that many of the suggestions are relevant to the modern world.
