REPRESENTATION OF THE AUTHOR IN THE ERIC-EMMANUEL SCHMITT’S EPISTOLARY PROSE

Abstract
In the article are researching the features of the author representation and narrative organization in the epistolary prose of E.-E. Schmitt, modern French writer, whose novels are well-known to Russian-speaking readers. The material of the research includes such epistolary texts as “Oscar et la Dame Rose” (“Oscar and the Lady in Pink”, 2002), “Ma vie avec Mozart” (“My life with Mozart”, 2005), “L’Évangile selon Pilate” (“The Gospel According to Pilate”, 2000). Epistolary form has got its specific potential in the domain of the author representation, that determines the reinforcement of the subjective side in the text, the personal-oriented approach in the giving of the information, the purpose to the authenticity of expressing. In this work we research the narrative form, modes of autonominalization, lexical units, syntactical specifications and stylistic instruments, that facilitate the expression of the author’s position in E.-E. Schmitt’s epistolary texts.
