Abstract

For the first time in Russian-language historiography, the participation of the French-German tandem in European integration processes in the field of higher education in the second half of the XX – beginning of the XXI centuries is considered. The cooperation between France and Germany in the framework of educational projects of the Council of Europe, programs of the European Economic Community and the European Union is characterized. The role of France and Germany in the creation of the European Higher Education Area is determined. The conclusion is drawn about the influence of European educational programs, in particular the Erasmus program, on the activation of bilateral Franco-German exchanges.
