MATERIALS OF PERSONAL FUND OF ACADEMICIAN M. E. MATSEPURO AS A SOURCE FOR THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE OF THE BSSR

Abstract
The article presents the results of a source analysis of documents and materials from the personal fund of Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR M. E. Matsepuro (1908–1971). The author evaluates the information potential of documents of personal origin of M. E. Matsepuro, identifies key features, and identifies the most informative of them. Using the example of this foundation, promising areas for further research of funds of personal origin of scientists of the BSSR have been identified, including an analysis of the involvement of scientists in the development of scientific institutions in the republic, the training of scientific personnel, as well as the interaction of scientists and administrative structures in Belarus during the Soviet period. The reviewed corpus of documents has a high informational value as a source on the history of agricultural science of the BSSR during the post-war restoration of science and economics.
