Abstract

This article analyzes Chinese academic publications on economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China from 1992 to the present. Drawing on a wide range of sources, the article identifies Chinese research centers and experts conducting research on this topic, and identifies key thematic areas in this field that are of greatest interest to Chinese authors. It identifies the stages of the formation and development of Belarusian studies in Chinese historiography from 1992 to 2024, as well as factors influencing the frequency of Chinese historiography on this issue. Methodological features of Chinese historiography are highlighted, including interdisciplinarity, connections to public policy, a pragmatic approach, documentary and archival analysis, an institutional approach.
