SATIRICAL POETRYIN THE SHEKI LITERARY ENVIRON MENT IN THE 50s – 70s OF THE XX CENTRY (BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF THE NEWSPAPER “SHEKI FAHLESI”)

Abstract

The article examines the issues of satire on the pages of the “Sheki Fehlesi” newspaper. For the first time, the author takes as an object of analysis the poems on various topics published in the pages of the “Sheki Fehlesi” newspaper in the 50s and 70s of the 20th century, related to satire. In evaluating the opinions of the authors, the correspondence to the historical truths is taken as the basis, the objective and subjective opinions of the poets are treated by the researcher in terms of historical reality. The study of the development history of satirical poetry in Shaki as an important part of Azerbaijani literature for the first time in a twenty-year period of time on the pages of the newspaper “Sheki Fehlesi” proves the relevance of the article. Satire in the Sheki literary environment played the role of a kind of mirror in which society could see its shortcomings and vices.
