Abstract
In the context of globalization and digitalization, the process of borrowing foreign vocabulary is becoming more active, with the mass media acting as the main channel for the penetration and adaptation of such words in the recipient language. This article substantiates the relevance of linguistic analysis of borrowings in media texts, focusing on their semantic transformations and pragmatic functions.
