THE ROLE OF LOCAL STATE AND CHURCH ORGANIZATIONS IN THE FIELD OF ORTHODOX CHURCH CONSTRUCTION (1864-1890)

Abstract
The article shows two stages of the formation of local state and church organizations in the construction of Orthodox churches on the territory of Belarus. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the study and the reasons for this phenomenon. The main part defines the personnel composition of the provincial and district church-building committees (presences) subordinate to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the composition of parish societies, their functional responsibilities. The responsible persons and their official duties for coordinating this issue in the provincial chambers of State Property of the Ministry of State Property are also presented. The structure and the relationship between them at different levels of management of the church-building process are outlined. The role of the governors-General in all areas of this area is reflected. In conclusion, the author draws a conclusion about the importance of the above-mentioned organizations in the implementation of church construction in the Belarusian lands.
