Abstract
On the basis of “The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas” (1933) by G. Stein and “A Moveable Feast” (1964) by E. Hemingway the portrait of the American poet, publisher and editor Ezra Pound is investigated (1885 – 1972). Fragments in which one of the main representatives of the European and American modernism of the XXth century is mentioned are commented and analysed, therefore aquaintance with the biographic facts of his life and understanding of the essence of his views of literature is important for understanding of the literary process of this century as a whole.
