THE FUNERAL MONUMENTS OF BELARUSSIAN DVINA REGION OF THE 14th – 18th CENTURIES: DEFENITION, STRUCTURA, CLASSIFICATION

Abstract
The article considers theoretical approaches to the definition of a funeral monument as a category of archaeological science. It deals with the structure of the funeral monument in relation to Belarussian Dvina region of the 14th – 18th centuries. Under the funeral monument of Belarussian Dvina region of the 14th – 18th centuries we understand a burial,a funeral or cemetery complex, created on the territory of Belarussian Dvina region in the 14th – 18th centuries. The selection of the group of funeral monuments with external signs of burials of the 14th – 18th centuries allowed to expand the body of interest and trace the features of its spacial location. The classification of funeral monuments of Belarussian Dvina region is given depending on the presence of a grave mound, the existence of a worship place in the structure or metastructure of a funeral monument, the features of grave goods.
