GENRE DIFFERENTIATION OF MEDITATIVE WANDERING IN THE POETRY OF ENGLISH ROMANTICISM

Abstract
The article dwells upon the problem of genre transformation in romantic meditative-philosophic lyrics and ballads of the “lakers” such as W. Wordsworth and S.T. Coleridge. The motif “wandering” is concerned, that was a traditional genre-making device. The work deals with the renewed representations of “meditative wandering” motif as the antithesis to “dynamic” both in meditative and ballad form. Much attention is paid to the major style features of the romantization process within these genres. The article is focused on the analysis of the “wandering” motif dominant functions in these genres, its genre-making and structural characteristics.
