FUNCTIONAL AND PRAGMATIC TYPOLOGY OF GERMAN FOOTBALL FANS’ SONGS

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the German sports discourse in its communicative and pragmatic aspect. The discourse content plane is composed of several components; pragmatic meanings due to their illocutionary and perlocutionary potential take a special place. Sports discourse is a complex multilevel structure; it involves the sphere of oral and written communication about sport by sports people – sportsmen, coaches, referees, functionaries, as well as journalists and commentators. Part and parcel of the sports discourse, its special appeal is the fans’ discourse, which develops its own set of speech patterns, cognitive and linguistic means for their representation, etc., along with general discourse strategies. Analysis of the underexplored genre – football fans’ songs – helps reveal and classify speech acts realized in the folklore of this subculture.
