ARTISTIC DIALOGUE OF ANTI-WAR AND ANTI-MILITARIST BEGINNINGS IN L. NASON’S NOVEL ‘CHEVRONS’

Abstract
The article examines ideo-thematic features of L. Nason’s novel ‘Chevrons’. The special status of the work is emphasized. It represents the combat prose, dedicated to the factually accurate interpretation of the First World War events. It is noted that the mentioned above work combines features characteristic of US anti-war and anti-militaristic literature. The social issues of the novel are analyzed. They are related to the ‘depersonalization’ of the soldier: an ordinary participant in the total war, a typical representative of the American expeditionary corps, who is trying to preserve the right for individuality.
