METHOD FOR CALCULATION OF BROADENING DURING COLD ROLLING OF STRIPS

Abstract
The paper considers a method for calculating the magnitude of strip broadening during cold rolling of strips on rolls with a smooth barrel. The main formulas that can be used for this are given, the methodology for conducting the calculation is described. A formula has been proposed for use. To reveal the accuracy of determining the band broadening, experimental and computational studies were carried out. Studies have shown the adequacy of the formula proposed for use. The influence of the roll diameter and the value of the friction coefficient on the calculated value of the broadening determined by various methods is determined. Conclusions are drawn.
