ANALYSIS OF THE ROTATION SCHEME OF NON-CIRCULAR SURFACES WITH AN EXCENTIALLY INSTALLED ROUND CUT

Abstract
The scheme of processing of non-circular cylindrical surfaces with uniformly located along the ridge protrusions by a forcibly rotating circular cutter, installed eccentrically relative to the axis of its rotation, is investigated. The problem of determining the thickness of the cut layer is solved for the first geometrical scheme of rotational cutting, when the ratio of the frequencies of the rotational movements of the cutter and the workpiece is equal to the number of protrusions of the non-circular surface, and the kinematic coefficient is much greater than unity. The shape of the section of the cut is determined by the graphoanalytical method, the dependencies for determination of the thickness of the cut layer and the parameters influencing it are determined, taking into account the influence of the geometrical parameters of the formed surface, the ratio of the angular velocities of the tool and the workpiece, and the eccentricity of the tool setting.
