Abstract

A new design of the valve plate is presented. The results of experimental studies and a comparative analysis of the basic performance characteristics of a new design plate are presented: mass transfer efficiency and interfinal liquid drift with the existing analog. Studies have been carried out for four different versions of the design of the tray caps. It is concluded that the valve plate of the new design is characterized by improved mass exchange and hydrodynamic characteristics in comparison with the direct flow. Mathematical models are obtained that describe the dependence of the efficiency of the plate on the gas velocity factor and the irrigation density of the plate.
