Abstract

The influence of the chemicals – sodium sulphate and gypsum plaster – on the process of lime slaking has been researched. It has been discovered that the most significant parameters of the process – max temperature and time it takes to reach this temperature – depend on the concentration of the above of certain chemicals. The regression analysis has been performed and the correlation coefficients have been calculated. Based on this information, the mathematical models which allow calculating the concentration of the above certain chemicals for the optimization of the technological process have been calculated. It has been established that the sodium sulphate is more effective than the gypsum plaster.
