Abstract
Public transport occupancy rate is an indicator that affects the economic component of the carrier's work, as well as the comfort of the trip for passengers. In order to increase the economic efficiency of the carrier, it is necessary to strive to maximize the public transport occupancy rate. However, this will lead to a decrease in the comfort of the trip, and, consequently, in the quality of the service provided. Therefore, decisions to optimize the buses (trolleybuses) occupancy rate are compromise and must be supported by appropriate justifications, which can only be based on knowledge of the existing values of the criteria for assessing the public transport occupancy rate.
