Abstract

The author's scientific discipline for design and technological specialties is proposed on the basis of the fundamental provisions of the monograph [6], devoted to the systemology of methods of form-forming processing in mechanical engineering. It is shown that any method of shaping processing, regardless of the method of influencing the workpiece material, the type of energy used in this case and the number of energy sources, is characterized from the side of integrity as a relatively isolated, virtual technical solution from the totality of all known methods, combined by a common, pioneering purpose: from the side of the function – as a process of shaping real surfaces of a given shape and size with certain physical and mechanical properties: from the side of the structure – as a set of expediently connected elements (techniques), their sequence and rules of execution. The geometric interpretation of the reproduction of real surfaces during shaping processing is considered in the language of set theory. The principles of representing the methods of shaping processing in the form of logical and mathematical models with the selection of criteria for their complexity are formulated. On the basis of the corollary arising from the definition of the concept of the method of shaping processing, a technique for creating new methods is proposed. The article considers the implementation of a number of relatively new methods of cutting, recognized by inventions, through functional design according to the function set by the corresponding processing method, in the kinematic structure of metal-cutting machines with mechanical and electronic connections in the forming groups.
