THE MODULAR STRUCTURE OF FORMING SYSTEMS IN THE FUNCTIONAL DESIGN OF MACHINE TOOLS

Abstract
The importance of functional design and the principle of continuity in the development of technical solutions of machine tools is shown. The development of its modular construction during systematic structural design, including synthesis of the kinematic structure of the machine modules that creates the necessary functional relationships to ensure rational conditions of forming and cutting is given. Methodological aspects of modular forming systems that reflect the principles of typing, unification and formation of modules are considered. The examples of the synthesis of differential and non-differential kinematic modules with different number of finite elements and forming machine systems built on their base are shown. The structure of the module is determined by the number of movements coordinated by it and the type of kinematic constraints and interrelated performance of parametric and structural synthesis provides a rational construction of kinematic modules based on the requirements in the process of formation.
