STUDY OF HEAT AND DRYING OF LUMBER IN PROTOTYPICAL MODEL OF MICROWAVE UNIT

Abstract
Results of a series of experimental studies of heat and drying of stacks of lumber on the developed prototype model of microwave unit equipped with two magnetrons with a working frequency of the generated microwave field 2.465 GHz, designed slot radiators, exhaust ventilation and adjustable tray are shown. Using thermal recording investigated the temperature distribution on the surface of the stack at a different location in the chamber and relative inclination of the stack slot radiators are studied. The study of heat of a stack at alternate and simultaneous inclusion of magnetrons is carried out. The recommendations on the placement of piles of lumber in the microwave chamber, reducing costs and losses of the microwave heat for drying of lumber by thermal insulation of cameras and optimization of the ventilation system are given.
