Abstract

The article is devoted to resolving of the problem of colloidal stability increasing in relation to high-based detergent additives for engine oils by means of optimization of benzene-solvent composition supplied at the stage of its refinement from mechanical impurities represented by calcium compound concentrate. There are results of the investigation of influence of aromatic compound content consisting of the solvent on colloidal stability. There is an explanation of aromatic content influence on colloidal stability of dispersion from physico-chemical mechanic of dispersion systems point of view. It is achieved that the higher aromatic compound content in benzene-solvent after its refinement from mechanical impurities is – the less colloidal stabil-ity of the oils with additives is. To increase the quality of the products it is recommended to purify the additive by solvents, containing less than 10 % of total aromatic hydrocarbons, which will allow to obtain the product with colloidal stability in oil more than 89 %.
