CHARACTERISTICS OF CONTAMINATION OF ATMOSPHERIC AIR OF NOVOPOLOTSK AND POLOTSK IN DYNAMICS FROM 1980 TO 2000

Abstract
Qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the level of contamination of the atmospheric air and its comparative estimation in Novopolotsk and Polotsk for the period of 20 years are demonstrated. A clearly pronounced tendency of the decrease of the contamination level of the atmospheric air is established. But a discrepancy is observed between the level of the decrease of the quantity of the gross emission and indicators, characterizing the level of contamination of the air, which decreased less. The level of contamination of the atmospheric air is higher in Novopolotsk according to the majority of indicators.
