Abstract
Тhe article is devoted to the characterization of the author’s educational workshop “The self-presentation of the teacher in the professional community” in terms of its potential in the development of professional initiative in future and practicing education specialists. The practical importance of this workshop is to provide students with awareness about the significance and essential features of professional initiative as an integrative quality of a person, stimulate their willingness to realize their professional capacity effectively, demonstrate techniques for the effective self-presentation in the space of professional-pedagogical activity. The professional initiative of the education specialist (teacher) is considered by the author of the article as an integrative quality, which includes a number of components of the motivational, intellectual and behavioral-volitional areas of the personality: striving for new things in the implementation of professional pedagogical functions, proactivity, efficiency in decisionmaking within the professional field, the ability to assess the production situation in terms of the appropriateness of initiatives, and the ability to plan and anticipate the results of their professional activities. The author reveals the features of the development of proactive behavior and professional initiative in specialists of kindergarten, offers a range of diverse tasks for the development of creative abilities in them and presents the results of the introduction of the workshop in real educational work with practicing and future educational specialists.
